Telefilm Canada contracts Phase 5 to collect online audience measurement data
Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce that it has recently contracted Phase
5 to collect online audience measurement data on behalf of the Corporation.
These statistics will allow us to track audience traffic to Websites that we
help finance, as well as to provide critical, in-depth market intelligence to
the industry, Telefilm, the Department of Canadian Heritage and the public on
the importance of Canadian online cultural products.
Telefilm Canada believes that performance measurement in the new media sector
is critical for understanding the environment in which businesses operate.
The Corporation is improving its performance measurement system by appointing
the firm Phase 5 to collect online audience data for the products that Telefilm
finances.
Phase 5 will be working collaboratively with the new media companies broadcasting
online to determine the Website traffic statistics. These statistics will provide
critical, in-depth market intelligence to the industry, Telefilm, the Department
of Canadian Heritage and the public on the importance and level of penetration
of Canadian online cultural products.
Phase 5's contract takes effect immediately. The firm will soon contact the
