Updates concerning the Screenwriting Assistance Program and the Low Budget Independent Feature Film Assistance Program
Screenwriting Assistance Program
English-language projects
Please note that there will be no deadlines for this program in the 2006-2007
fiscal year. Telefilm Canada will begin accepting applications on May 15,
2006.
New guidelines and eligibility criteria for English-language projects from
all regions will be posted shortly.
Telefilm Canada will not be accepting any applications to the Screenwriting
Assistance Program until the 2006-2007 guidelines are posted.
French-language projects
The deadline for applicants with French-language projects is: May 2, 2006.
New guidelines and eligibility criteria for French-language applicants from
all regions are
now online.
In order to reflect the different needs of both language markets, please
note that Telefilm Canada has adopted an asymmetrical approach for guidelines
and eligibility criteria.
Low Budget Independent Feature Film Assistance Program
English-language projects
Please note that there will be no deadlines in the 2006-2007 fiscal year for
English-language submissions from the Western, Ontario/Nunavut and Atlantic
regions. Telefilm Canada will begin accepting applications on April 17, 2006.
The deadline for English-language submissions from the Quebec region is April
18, 2006.
New guidelines and eligibility criteria for English-language submissions from
all regions will be posted shortly.
Telefilm Canada will not be accepting any applications to the Low Budget
Independent Feature Film Assistance Program until the 2006-2007 guidelines are
posted.
French-language projects
The deadline for French-language submissions from all regions is April 18,
2006.
