CANADA NEW MEDIA FUND GUIDELINES CLARIFICATION 2006-2007

NEW INFORMATION - Effective immediately

Canada New Media Fund (CNMF) guidelines - Market Research & Prototyping phase

Montreal, June 1, 2006 - In order to recognize a number of new scenarios, Telefilm Canada has clarified the Terms of Repayment in the CNMF Guidelines. As such, please be advised that the third sentence in the Terms of Repayment (Section 4.1.7.) which states, ''In such cases, Telefilm will insist that the repayment of its market Research and Prototyping participation be treated more favorably within the recoupment schedule than its participation in other phases of project financing." has been reinterpreted.

As well, please note that Telefilm is providing a clarification on both this policy as well as the current contractual definition of the term "Product." You can find both of these clarifications by accessing the Frequently Asked Questions section of the CNMF guidelines.
