The BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival 2025 is currently accepting applications for its upcoming edition. The festival will take place in March 2025, with exact dates to be announced. 

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the Festival.

ABOUT

Organized by the British Film Institute, BFI Flare is the UK’s largest queer film event, screening contemporary LGBTQIA+ cinema from across the globe, in addition to a rich selection of events and archive titles. 

The 2024 festival included several Canadian films : Close to You, The Queen of My Dreams, Candle, Backspot, I Don’t Know Who You Are, Days of Happiness, We Forgot to Breakup, I’ll Tell You When I’m Ready, and Meteor. 

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in this festival and may provide assistance through the International Promotion Program.
