19th MAMI Mumbai Film Festival

The Mumbai Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its upcoming edition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

Eligibility

• The minimum length of the films should be over 60 minutes;
• Films must have been produced after August 2016.

Please see each section’s respective regulations before applying as there are distinct regulations for each section.

The Mumbai Film Festival is organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), founded by Indian film industry personalities.

The Festival offers several cash awards, notably the Best Film – Golden Gateway with a prize of approx. USD 37,300, the Second Best Film – Silver Gateway of approx. USD 22,380, and the Audience Award with approx. USD 15, 000. All these cash awards are to be equally shared by the director and producer.

The international sections of the festival are:

• Competition: reserved to debut-features ;
• After Dark: fantastic and horror films;
• World Cinema: non-competitive section showcasing the best cinema of the year selected by important international film festivals.

Telefilm Canada recognizes selection in the Mumbai Film Festival as part of its Success Index and provides assistance through the International Festival Participation Program.
