48th Giffoni Film Festival

Call for entries

(Children features and shorts, all genres)


The Giffoni Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2018 edition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

  • Submission format: DVD, online file or link
  • Competitive: Yes
  • Entry fees: No


  • Open to feature-length (+60 minutes) and short films (-30 minutes), all genres (fiction, animation and documentary);
  • Films must have been completed after January 2017;
  • Features-length films must not have been presented at any other Italian festival, in theatres or broadcasted on television in Italy;
  • Screening formats accepted: DCP, HDCAM (not SR), Blu-ray and DigiBeta. H264HD file or Apple Pro-res format will be accepted only for short films;
  • Films invited must be in their original language with English subtitles.

The Giffoni Film Festival is organised by the independent Association: “Ente Autonomo Giffoni Experience” and supported by the Campania Regional Government, the Italian Ministry for Arts and Culture, the Salerno Provincial Administration and the Municipality of Giffoni Valle Piana. For over 47 years, the Festival has acted as a sounding board for cinema production destined for children and young people.
