The International Film Festival of India is currently accepting entries for its 2017 edition.

All films must be submitted directly to the festival

Please note that Canada will be the country of honor this year as the festival celebrates a focus on Canadian cinema.

Eligibility:

  • The festival presents fiction feature length films with a minimum duration of 70 minutes;
  • Films must be Indian Premieres;
  • Films must have been completed after 1st September 2016.
  • Films entered must be presented in their English original version or with English subtitles.

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is the oldest and a leading film festivals in India. Several sections are showcasing international features: INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION, WORLD CINEMA and FIRST CUT. Several awards come with cash prizes for a total of 200 000 U.S. dollars. The festival highlights debut-features by presenting the Centenary Award for the Best Debut feature.

FOCUS CANADA – A considerable selection of Canadian features will be programmed in the regular sections – Competition, World Cinema– as well as in additional categories that will highlight Canadian talents: Panorama, Retrospective, Opening and closing nights.

Telefilm Canada recognizes selection in the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) as part of its Success Index and provides assistance through the International Festival Participation Program.
