Call for entries

(Short films)

The Festival de Cannes is currently accepting submissions for short films.

Directors’ Fortnight and Critics’ Week, which are independent of the Festival de Cannes, are also accepting entries for short and medium length films.

 Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

There are no entry fees for short films.

Admissibility

The Cannes Film Festival (Competition) selects 10 short films (15 minutes or under) to compete for the prestigious Palme d’or.

The Directors’ Fortnight is organized by the Film Directors’ Guild. This non-competitive section programs approximately 15 international short films (under 60 minutes).

The Critics’ Week administered by the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma, programs 10 short and medium length films (under 60 minutes) to compete for two awards.
