(Feature-length narratives and documentaries)

The 13th edition of PERSPECTIVE CANADA at CANNES is a Telefilm Canada initiative that presents a selection of recent Canadian features produced with the support of the Canada Feature Film Fund or selected by the festival at the Marché du Film. This market showcase is designed to increase the international exploitation of Canadian features to some 11,000 accredited professionals.

The selection process is conducted by Telefilm Canada. Decisions will be rendered by March 24, 2018.

 

Eligibility

Information and Registration Procedure

Each selected film will screen once between May 10 and May 14 in one of the Market’s screening rooms.

The rate for the screening slot will be confirmed once the rooms or cinemas have been attributed to the films. A screening costs between 900 and 1100 € (rate per screening for films under 110 minutes). The right-holder must bear 50% of the screening cost and Telefilm will pay the other half. In the case that an invited film is represented by a foreign international sales company, Telefilm Canada will invoice the Canadian-controlled production company

Applicants or sales agent must meet the market deadline for DCP delivery, company’s registration and film registration on the market Cinando platform. Applicants must also meet Telefilm Canada deadlines in relation to the promotional campaign.
