The Sundance Film Festival is currently accepting applications for its 2022 edition.
Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival.

*Features may be submitted to Telefilm Canada before August 16, 2021.
Eligibility
- Shorts must be no more than exactly 50 minutes in length, credits included.
- Shorts have no premiere requirements or prior screening restrictions.
- All non-English-language shorts must have English subtitles.

The Sundance Film Festival brings together the most original storytellers and the most adventurous audiences for its annual program short films.
The following prizes and awards are bestowed on short films in the Festival that exemplify outstanding vision and creativity in their respective categories: Short Film Grand Jury Prize*, Short Film Jury Award: International Fiction*, Short Film Jury Award: Nonfiction, Short Film Jury Award: Animation*, Short Film Special Jury Awards. Winner of the * categories qualifies for the Oscars®.
Each year, Canada stands out with 5 short films selected and regularly wins awards.
Telefilm Canada recognizes a selection in the Festival for application to its International Festival participation Program.
