For its fourth edition, Not Short on Talent is heading to the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Market with 11 Canadian films

13 December 2012

Montreal, December 13, 2012 – Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce that on February 6, 2013 the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Market will present an edition of Not Short on Talent featuring Canadian films from across the country. This market runs parallel to the 35th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, one of the most important short film festivals in the world. Over 150 submissions were received from all regions of Canada, enabling film curator Danny Lennon (founder of Prends ça court!) to put together a Canadian program of 100 minutes, or 11 shorts, for the Clermont-Ferrand event.

Not Short on Talent is designed to increase the international distribution of new Canadian short films and to promote Canadian talent to buyers and international festival programmers. This is the fourth edition of Not Short on Talent, following appearances at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011 and 2012, as well as at the Festival Off-Courts Trouville in 2012.

Interestingly, this year the creation of the poster and visual elements of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival was done by Canadian filmmaker Theodore Ushev, winner of the Best Animation Award at Clermont-Ferrand in 2010 with Les Journaux de Lipsett, and whose film Rossignols en décembre will be presented at the Clermont-Ferrand Competition Lab in February. The following Canadian films will be screened as part of Not Short on Talent:
