Four Canadian films at the San Sebastián International Film Festival
Montreal, September 9, 2015 — Telefilm Canada is delighted with the strong Canadian presence at the 63rd San Sebastián International Film Festival to be held in Spain from September 18 to 26. Three Canadian films will be presented at the Festival while the Canada-Spain minority coproduction from Alejandro Amenábar (The Sea Inside), Regression, starring Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) and Emma Watson (Harry Potter), will open the event. The Focus on Canada initiative is back for a second year, allowing a delegation of 12 Canadian producers and distributors to take part in events such as the Europe-Latin America Coproduction Forum, which attracts numerous decision-makers each year.
Focus on Canada, organized by the San Sebastián Film Festival, Telefilm and its partners— Manitoba Film & Music, the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and the Ontario Media Development Corporation—offers the members of the Canadian delegation a unique opportunity to develop their international business network and enhance their knowledge of coproductions with Spanish-speaking countries.
