Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds renew the Theatrical Documentary Program for 2014-2015

Montreal, September 3rd, 2014 – Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds are pleased to announce the extension of their partnership and the opening of the 2014-2015 Theatrical Documentary Program.

Telefilm and the Rogers Group of Funds have once again joined forces to underwrite the Program with the intent to co-finance films that can meet key audience-building objectives.  Successful projects will be identified as having strong potential for box office earnings, international awards, and prominent festival selections.

Canadian documentaries capture a diverse and unique perspective on social, economic and political issues.  They tell stories that are specific and personal yet universally relevant.  By renewing this public-private partnership, Telefilm and Rogers Group of Funds aim to encourage the success and ensure the future of Canadian, non-fiction story-telling.

Applications may be submitted as of September 2nd, 2014.  The program deadline is September 30th, 2014 for both French and English-language projects.
