Telefilm Canada announces the appointment of Sylvie L’Écuyer to the position of Director, Strategy and Research and Project Management Officer

Montréal, February 22, 2013 – Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce that Sylvie L’Écuyer has been appointed to the position of Director, Strategy and Research and Project Management Officer, effective April 1, 2013.


In her position, Ms. L’Écuyer will be responsible for supporting senior management in the development of corporate strategy, finalizing and managing strategic initiatives stemming from this strategy, and developing a framework to guide the implementation of the Corporation’s business plan. With project management having been added to the position’s areas of responsibility, Ms. L’Écuyer will also play a major role in the identification and definition of opportunities and in the prioritization and leadership of all corporate projects.

An experienced manager, Ms. L’Écuyer has led major organizational transformation projects in various industries, including telecommunications, financial institutions, agri-food, communications and marketing, as well as has worked for government cultural agencies.


During her career, Sylvie L’Écuyer has successfully held a variety of positions with responsibilities related to the improvement of operational and financial performance, and has headed and supported senior management teams in the delivery of major strategic projects for public- as well as private-sector companies, in Canada and in the United States. As a senior manager, she has led large teams of managers and professionals in the fields of finance, information technology, sales and customer service, notably at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Hydro-Québec and Transcontinental.
