Telefilm Canada appoints Michael Leclair to the position of National Director, Business Affairs

The Telefilm Canada team is honoured to welcome aboard a talented player with extensive experience in the Canadian audiovisual industry. Since September 19, Michael Leclair has held the position of National Director, Business Affairs, devoting his time to the management and administration of Canada Feature Film Fund programs.

Mr. Leclair joined Telefilm after working for a major management consulting firm and for CBC/Radio-Canada, which is in addition to his experience as an independent producer. His background includes sound knowledge of media production, financial management, and auditing and assessment. A bilingual native of Montreal, he has also lived in Halifax, Ottawa and Toronto.

According to Roxane Girard, Director, Business Affairs and Coproduction, “Mr. Leclair is a major asset for our organization. His production experience and knowledge of the audiovisual industry and its stakeholders have given him a keen understanding of the community and its needs.”
