Reporting to the National Director, CMF Programs Administrator, you will manage a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the administration of the Canada Media Fund programs, specifically programs to assist television production and / or digital media, and marketing, as well as dubbing and subtitling. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team of analysts and administrative staff to ensure effective and efficient processing of funding applications submitted to the Canada Media Fund
  • Managing a portfolio of projects based on content type and approve recommendations from analysts and project funding
  • Ensuring that projects submitted meet the requirements of CMF guiding principles
  • Playing a significant role as a member of CMF Program Administration management team, ensuring uniformity and consistency of procedures, processing of applications, and quality of files and records, both in their reference markets and throughout the organization
  • Working collaboratively with other portfolio managers to ensure that the overall national team achieves its objectives
  • Supervising, following up and assigning application files to analysts, maintaining business relationships and timetables for all files processed so that they can be tracked throughout various phases
  • Identifying solutions to issues raised at all stages of file processing operations, and in terms of risk assessment
  • Managing and mobilizing team members under your supervision
  • Providing recommendations for business projects and processes as required for continuous improvement and informing the National Director of any issues related to the processing of files
  • Ensuring good business relationships with the Canada Media Fund, as well as with its clients and stakeholders


  • University degree in administration or other relevant field. A professional designation is an asset
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the television industry and/or digital media, particularly in a function related to producing and/or production accounting, and/or broadcasting and/or digital media, and 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Experience and comprehensive knowledge of the television and/or digital media industries as well as its stakeholders, policies and programs
  • Capacity to communicate well and negotiate with clients
  • Solid team spirit
  • Superior analytical and conceptual skills, strong planning and excellent organizational skills in dealing with various projects at once
  • Rigor and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English at the BBB level
