Telefilm Canada Congratulates the 2010 Jutra Award Winners

Montréal, March 29, 2010 – Telefilm Canada congratulates the winners of the 12th edition of the Prix Jutra, the annual awards ceremony that celebrates Quebec film. The awards were handed out yesterday evening in 21 categories.

“Year after year, the Jutra awards honour the creativity and talent of Quebec’s film artists,” stated Carolle Brabant, Telefilm Canada’s Executive Director. “On behalf of all Telefilm employees, I congratulate the winners and finalists of the 2010 awards, including René Malo, who received the Prix Jutra-Hommage for overall career achievement. René Malo has made a significant contribution to the growth of Quebec cinema, at home and abroad.”

Of the award-winning films, five were produced with funding support from Telefilm Canada: Polytechnique, Dédé à travers les brumes, 1981, De père en flic and Cadavres.
