Telefilm Canada supports the 14th edition of the Fantasia International Film Festival
Montréal, June 29, 2010 – Telefilm Canada announces its support for the 14th annual Fantasia International Film Festival taking place this July 8-28. Financed as part of the Skills and Screens program, Telefilm’s support enables the Festival to develop a range of professional activities and also contributes to the success of Canadian screenings.
“Recognized as North America’s premier genre film event, we are proud to once more support the Fantasia International Film Festival which fosters the development of fantasy films. In addition, we are pleased to report that again this year, Fantasia is showing a considerable number of Canadian feature films,” said Sheila de La Varende, Director of National and International Business Development at Telefilm Canada.
The Fantasia International Film Festival screens a wide selection of international and local genre films in a festive and popular setting. The festival programming consists mainly of premieres and productions that were highly successful in their country of origin or on the worldwide film festival circuit.
