Telefilm Canada Announces the Opening of the Medium to Large-Scale Festivals Program

Telefilm wishes to inform industry members of the upcoming opening of the Medium to Large-Scale Festivals Program.

Application period:

• For festivals beginning between October 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027:
  • Opening date: January 6, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (EST)
  • Closing date: January 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (EST)
• For festivals beginning between April 1, 2027, and September 30, 2027:
  • Opening and closing dates to be announced

There are no major changes to the program this year.

However, the eligibility and evaluation criteria have been clarified, and the final reporting documents have been simplified.
