{"id":128442,"date":"2022-12-06T15:11:45","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T20:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/?post_type=appel-inscription&#038;p=128442"},"modified":"2022-12-06T15:11:47","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T20:11:47","slug":"76th-locarno-film-festival-short-films","status":"publish","type":"appel-inscription","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/appel-inscription\/76th-locarno-film-festival-short-films","title":{"rendered":"76<sup>th<\/sup> Locarno Film Festival | Short Films\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"call-for-entries\">Call for entries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Short films, all genres)&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.locarnofestival.ch\/LFF\/home.html\">Locarno Film Festival<\/a>&nbsp;is currently accepting short films for its upcoming edition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please note that films must be submitted&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.locarnofestival.ch\/LFF\/Film-Submission.html\"><strong>directly to the festival<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*The call for entries for the Canadian preselection screenings (Feature films) will be posted at a later date.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Competitive<\/strong>: Yes&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Entry fees:<\/strong> Yes&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"eligibility\">ELIGIBILITY <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please <\/strong><b>con<\/b><strong>sult the<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.locarnofestival.ch\/LFF\/extra\/rules-regulations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong> festival\u2019s website<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u202ffor the eligibility criteria.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The selected films must have been completed within the 12 (twelve) months preceding the Festival screening, therefore, the festival will only consider films completed after August 31, 2022;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Films selected must not have been previously released outside&nbsp;their country of origin prior to the official presentation at the Locarno Film Festival.&nbsp;<strong>World premieres<\/strong>&nbsp;are favoured;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short films must be less than 40 minutes and medium-length films must be under 59 minutes;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Films available on the Internet, broadcast on television or commercially released on VOD, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other format are not eligible;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All coproductions must be world premieres.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about\">ABOUT<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Locarno Film Festival aims to promote arthouse cinema of artistic merit; to provide a showcase for major new films of the year from around the world; to take stock, in its competitive sections, of the new perspectives of filmmaking expression, concentrating especially on such new film directors and industries as command international attention.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pardi di domani section presents as a world or international premiere short and medium-length films not more than 59 minutes in length. All genres are eligible. This section includes two competitions open for filmmakers who have not yet made feature-length films: one reserved for Swiss productions and co-productions (Concorso nazionale), while the other is open to works from the rest of the world (Concorso internazionale).
