{"id":144783,"date":"2024-01-29T12:28:45","date_gmt":"2024-01-29T17:28:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/?post_type=appel-inscription&#038;p=144783"},"modified":"2024-02-06T13:26:01","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T18:26:01","slug":"cannes-2024-not-short-on-talent","status":"publish","type":"appel-inscription","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/appel-inscription\/cannes-2024-not-short-on-talent","title":{"rendered":"Cannes 2024 | Not Short on Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CALL FOR ENTRIES<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>(Canadian short films, all genres)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telefilm Canada is currently accepting submissions for its 14th edition of\u202f<strong>CANADA: NOT SHORT ON TALENT\u202f<\/strong>program at Cannes, a curated market showcase presented at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadedemain.festival-cannes.com\/en\/take-part\/submit-a-film-to-the-sfc-rendez-vous-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Short Film Corner 2024<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"eligibility-criteria\">ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be considered eligible, a film must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Retain a World or International premiere status until the screening date in May;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not have been made available on the Internet outside Canada;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be produced after June 1st\u202f2023;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a maximum running time of 20 minutes;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English at the time of submission due to international market requirements (if they are not available at the moment of your submission, please indicate it on the form. Eligibility criteria will be applied. Priority will be given to film teams that have not previously been selected as part of a Not Short on Talent cohort.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decisions will be communicated via email by\u202fmid-March.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If selected, you will have to deliver a file of your film according to the specifications provided by Telefilm Canada and the Short Film Corner. An image and an excerpt of your film will also be required for promotional use.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telefilm Canada will cover the cost of the inclusion of your film in the market Video library reserved to professionals, as well as the targeted trainings. Selected films will benefit from a promotional campaign developed and funded by Telefilm Canada to ensure exposure for the selected Canadian films.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about\">ABOUT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our showcase aims to increase the visibility of new Canadian short films and to promote talent to registered industry delegates from international markets, including buyers and curators of festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Not Short on Talent\u202f<\/strong>is a Telefilm Canada initiative that presents a selection of new Canadian short films at international markets.
