The screenings will be host&nbsp;in&nbsp;a private theatre from September 11-13,with the festival delegate&nbsp;who will travel to Montreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>NEW THIS YEAR<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The festival has expressed the wish to accept onlyfeatures <strong>with a World premiere status for the screenings in Montreal.<\/strong> Films with an International or European status should be submitted directly to the festival and the festival\u2019s registration fees will apply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Due to the increased number of feature-length film entries, and time constraints, <strong>not all submitted films will be screened by the delegate while in Montreal. <\/strong>Once the Berlinale programming committee receives the list of entries submitted to Telefilm Canada, it will take care to prioritize, identify and choose the titles to be watched by the delegate in Montreal. The <strong>festival waives its entry fees only for films screened in Montreal.<\/strong> &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All other titles would then be invited to be registered on the festival platform and watched in Berlin. In which case, the festival will offer the reduced entry fee of \u20ac100 per feature length film.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registration fees <\/strong>are waived for films submitted and screened at the screening session organized by Telefilm Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Short films<\/strong> and <strong>TV series<\/strong> need to be submitted directly to the festival.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Feature films need to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a World Premiere status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlinale.de\/en\/film-entry\/submission\/start.html\"><strong>festival\u2019s admissibility criteria<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be completed in the 12 months preceding the festival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a running time of 60+ minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-style-default act-button act-button--full-width is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100 is-style-with-icon\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/telefilmbpm.appiancloud.com\/suite\/sites\/client\/page\/clientHome\/record\/lMBaiJ45Q3Cj0vo-S0MQD9tsQCCaT5lSZrGMryQvagN8IqfOS4Q6V8_YIjszNpF2_ciphFd5D8-EEQp-GtZEzw7IXqNfQ_gU2y6Uof1hO7W_VDMhQ\/view\/summary\"><strong style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem; display: inline !important;\">CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT<\/strong><i aria-label=\"Bouton primaire pleine largeur avec ic\u00f4ne\" class=\"icon far fa-external-link-alt\" aria-hidden=\"true\"> <\/i><br><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that the submissions will be collected through <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/User-Guide_Dialogue-Events-1.pdf\"><strong>Dialogue events<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>REGISTRATION AND SELECTION PROCESS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete the \u201cBerlinale 2025 preselection screenings\u201d form on Telefilm Canada\u2019s platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide a private downloadable screening link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your image editing should be final. The programmers are used to viewing work at the post-production\/rough cut stage (i.e. with no colour timing, no final mix, temporary music, etc.) and, as such, know how to \u201cfill in the technical gaps.\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selection process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Films entered through this process that meet the eligibility criteria for the festival will be screened by the festival programming committee. Telefilm Canada does not filter nor preselect films.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the Montreal\u2019s screenings are over, if a film is preselected (\u201cshortlisted\u201d) by the delegate, we will inform the applicant by email after the screening session. Then, the shortlisted films will move to step 2 and be reviewed by the rest of the festival committee between October-December 2024. Final decisions taken will be communicated directly to the applicant by the festival in December 2024.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ABOUT<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Berlinale, along with Cannes and Venice, counts as one of the oldest and most important competitive festivals in the world. It is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, with more than 240 films and 320&nbsp;000 screening tickets sold in 2024.
