This dedicated space will serve as a platform for up to 12 Canadian companies to showcase their innovation and creativity at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sxsw.com\/exhibitions\/sxsw-xr-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">XR Experience Exhibition<\/a>,<\/strong> which houses break-through XR and AI experiences from around the world.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Canadian Innovation Lounge is open to innovative products and experiences from Canadian companies working across XR, AI, gaming, the creator economy, music, virtual production and more.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featured projects will rotate each day, with <strong>four different companies showcased each day<\/strong>. The rotating format allows companies to unlock new exposure and business development opportunities both as selections at the Canadian Innovation Lounge and by being present at additional programs and events at SXSW.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Telefilm Canada does not offer financial support to take part in this initiative, or a SXSW 2025 badge<\/strong>. It is taken for granted that regardless of their selection, applicants will attend SXSW 2025.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each company space will be set up with a table, chairs, electrical outlet and one screen.&nbsp; All other equipment and any individual branding elements (i.e. banners) must be provided by the selected companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies will benefit from inclusion in the Canada @ SXSW promotional campaign.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Companies must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a Canadian controlled corporation, as determined under sections 26 to 28 of the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/I-21.8\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Investment Canada Act<\/strong><\/a>;\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be represented during the initiative by a Canadian citizen within the definition of the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/c-29\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Citizenship Act\u202f<\/strong><\/a>or a permanent resident within the definition of the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/laws.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/i-2.5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<\/strong><\/a>;\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have its head office in Canada and carry out its activities in Canada;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be planning to attend SXSW 2025 and available to exhibit according to the schedule that will be provided by mid-February 2025;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have at minimum a demo version of their projects to showcase.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: <strong>HOW TO SUBMIT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please note that this Call for Entries is hosted by Telefilm Canada&#8217;s platform, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilmbpm.appiancloud.com\/suite\/sites\/client\/page\/clientHome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dialogue Events<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>You must have a <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/log-in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dialogue Account <\/a>in order to submit to this Call for Entries.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you receive an error message when clicking on the &#8220;SUBMIT HERE&#8221; button, please ensure that you have <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/log-in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">created a Dialogue account here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you already have a Dialogue account, but receive an error message, please ensure that you have accepted the new Terms and Conditions from September 2023 under &#8220;Tasks&#8221;.
