all genres &#8211; Coproduction)<\/em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Canada Council for the Arts<\/strong>, the <strong>Embassy of Canada to the Republic of Korea <\/strong>and <strong>Telefilm Canada<\/strong>, with the support of <strong>Canadian Heritage, Ontario Creates <\/strong>and the <strong>Canadian Media Producers Associations (CMPA)<\/strong> are pleased to be collaborating with the Asian Contents &amp; Film Market to have Canada as the focus country for the second edition of the <strong>Producer Hub<\/strong> at the<strong> Asian Contents &amp; Film Market (ACFM)<\/strong> taking place during the 30th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biff.kr\/eng\/addon\/10000001\/page.asp?page_num=7710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Busan International Film Festival<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>(BIFF).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the occasion, a delegation of up to <strong>15 Canadian producers<\/strong> will be invited to take part in the event from September 20 to 23, 2025.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-9e60ac78 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible, an applicant must meet all the following criteria:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-9e60ac78 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a Canadian controlled corporation, as determined under sections 26 to 28 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/I-21.8\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Investment Canada Act<\/strong><\/a>;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be represented during the initiative by a producer that is a Canadian citizen within the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/c-29\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Citizenship Act<\/strong><\/a> or a permanent resident within the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/i-2.5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<\/strong><\/a>;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have its head office in Canada and carry out its activities in Canada;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operate as an audiovisual production company;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have production credits on at least one feature film released theatrically, on a platform, in a festival, and\/or aired within the past 3 years (2023-2025) up to July 2025 (information on these productions, including credits, should be verifiable on platforms like IMDB)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be available to participate in the activities held in Busan from September 20 to 23, 2025;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be able to financially cover for their travel expenses beyond the amount of 4 000 $ granted by Telefilm Canada and\/or it\u2019s partners;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be fluent in English for effective communication and participation in the program;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have at least one feature-length film project in development suitable for international co-production that could be co-produced with Asia, with financial and creative control along with all copyrights and options necessary for its development and promotion held by the producer, would be an asset;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have previous experience as lead producer on an official completed international co-production is an asset.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-style-default act-button act-button--full-width is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100 is-style-with-icon\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/telefilmbpm.appiancloud.com\/suite\/sites\/client\/page\/clientHome\/record\/lQBaiJ45Q3Cj0vo-S0MQD9tsQCCaT5lSZrGMryQvagN8IqfOS4Q6V8_YIjszNpF2_ciphFd5D8-EEQp-GxR8_tq3CXcNsvkBMl17YUbVKUCI-JHiNU\/view\/summary\"><strong style=\"font-family: inherit; The initiative will feature a diverse range of programs including panel talks, case studies, seminars, and networking events.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All delegation members from across Canada will be offered a complimentary market badge registration to ACFM and travel support, which includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-9e60ac78 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complimentary Market Badge&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;Access to Main ACFM venue, and ACFM and Producer Hub programming&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tickets for Festival Screenings&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to P&amp;I Screenings&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to Online Screening&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership to Cinando<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel grant of $4,000 CAD to cover part of their travel expenses&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ABOUT<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Producer Hub was launched in 2024 aimed at facilitating information exchange and networking among producers pursuing international co-productions and financing. This event is aimed at serving as a crucial venue for producers from various countries to share insights on changes in film production environments, market trends across different nations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each year, Producer Hub will select a \u2018Focus Country\u2019 to center its activities around, showcasing co-production projects, producers, and industry trends from that country. This initiative aims to foster active exchanges among participants by recommending leading co-production producers from the Focus Country, thereby strengthening the foundation for international collaboration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Asian Contents &amp; Film Market (ACFM) is a marketplace where diverse media content from films to audiovisuals, publications, webtoons, and web novels are traded.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a networking and business platform for industry professionals worldwide, ACFM provides various programs, including investment and co-production markets, industry conferences and events, and film production funding programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over 2,000 industry professionals from more than 50 countries participate in ACFM every year during the Busan International Film Festival. ACFM 2025 will host a physical market to provide in-person networking and business opportunities to worldwide participants with online components supplemented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Busan International Film Festival has grown from Korea&#8217;s first international film festival to Korea&#8217;s and Asia\u2019s largest, and has become a film festival loved by many filmmakers and audiences not only in Asia but also in the world. As of 2019, 299 works were invited from a total of 85 countries, and the number of theaters that started with 6 has increased to 37. In addition, the \u2018Busan Cinema Center\u2019 opened in 2011, which is an exclusive venue of the Busan International Film Festival and has become a landmark in Busan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telefilm Canada is also accepting entries on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biff.kr\/eng\/addon\/10000001\/page.asp?page_num=7710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Busan International Film Festival<\/strong><\/a> (\u201cBIFF\u201d).&nbsp;The programmer responsible of Canadian cinema will screen the submitted Canadian features in a private theater in Montreal.
