(Special offer for Canadian Producers eager to explore the Asian market) <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FOCUS ASIA<\/strong> is a unique industry event taking place from April 27 to 29 in Italy within the framework of the Udine Far East Film Festival<\/em>, bringing together over 200 film professionals and decision makers from Asia, Canada and Europe (you can find here<\/strong><\/a> the complete list of attendees from last year). The main goal is to foster new artistic collaborations and co-productions between different markets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FOCUS ASIA LAB<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For the second year, FOCUS ASIA<\/strong> and TELEFILM CANADA<\/strong> have partnered to offer up to four Canadian producers<\/strong> the opportunity to participate in FOCUS ASIA LAB<\/strong>, a program designed to highlight co-production opportunities with Asia<\/strong> (particularly Japan, Korea and South East Asia) and provide deeper insight into the Asian production and distribution landscape<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FOCUS ASIA LAB<\/strong> is integrated into the broader FOCUS ASIA <\/strong>industry program, offering direct access to key players in the Asian market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadian producers eager to explore the Asian landscape and meet Asian outstanding projects seeking international coproductions, can apply to participate in Focus Asia Lab by filling in the dedicated application form by March 9<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus Asia will select up to 4 producers<\/strong>. Participation fee, 4-night hotel accommodation, all meals for the entire stay and airport transfers will be covered. As well, each participant will receive a flat fee reimbursement of up to 900 CAD (600 EUR) from the organizers of the event to cover travel fees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAR EAST IN PROGRESS<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The only works-in-progress section in Europe dedicated to Asian films in post-production looking for international distribution and festival premiere. Selected teams have the chance to screen 10 minutes of their films to a large panel of international sales agents, festival programmers and buyers from both Europe and Asia.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALL GENRES PROJECT MARKET <\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A special co-production platform for upcoming high-quality feature films in development. Projects must be feature-length, fiction films in advanced development phase, with co-production or co-financing potential with Europe or Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FOCUS ASIA programme will moreover include a series of exciting programmes<\/strong> designed for international producers, sales, buyers and festival programmers: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
