{"id":195040,"date":"2026-10-20T12:42:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T16:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/?post_type=appel-inscription&#038;p=195040"},"modified":"2026-10-20T12:42:20","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T16:42:20","slug":"filmart-producers-connect-canadian-delegation","status":"publish","type":"appel-inscription","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/appel-inscription\/filmart-producers-connect-canadian-delegation","title":{"rendered":"FILMART \u2013 Producers Connect Canadian Delegation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CALL FOR ENTRIES<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Feature film producers &#8211; all genres &#8211; Coproduction)&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Telefilm Canada<\/strong>, with the support of <strong>Creative BC<\/strong>, is pleased to be collaborating with the <strong>Hong Kong International Film &amp; TV Market (FILMART)<\/strong> to support Canada\u2019s presence at the third edition of the <strong>Producers Connect<\/strong> programme at <a href=\"https:\/\/hkfilmart.hktdc.com\/conference\/hkfilmart\/en?fairCode=hkfilmart&amp;locale=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FILMART<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the occasion, a delegation of up to <strong>5 Canadian producers<\/strong> will be invited to take part in the event from March 15-18, 2027.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>DETAILS<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Canadian delegation is designed to facilitate cross-cultural collaboration between Canadian and Asian producers, with a goal towards creating new international collaborations and facilitating new co-production and\/or co-financing opportunities between the countries. The initiative will feature a diverse range of programs including panel discussions, fireside chats, group business matching sessions and networking events.\u202fIn addition to the access to the Producers Connect programme, additional curated business-to-business matching sessions may be developed to increase opportunities for the delegation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All delegation members from across Canada will be offered a complimentary admission badge registration to FILMART and travel support, which includes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complimentary FILMART Admission Badge&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel grant of up to $4,000 CAD to cover part of their travel expenses (total support from Telefilm and provincial agencies will not exceed this amount)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible, an applicant must meet all the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a Canadian controlled corporation, as determined under sections 26 to 28 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/I-21.8\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Investment Canada Act<\/a>;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be represented during the initiative by a producer that is a Canadian citizen within the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/c-29\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Citizenship Act<\/a> or a permanent resident within the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/i-2.5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<\/a>;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have its head office in Canada and carry out its activities in Canada;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operate as an audiovisual production company;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have production credits on at least one feature film released theatrically or a feature film or television series that has been released on a platform, in a festival, and\/or aired within the past 3 years (2024-2026) up to October 2026 (information on these productions, including credits, should be verifiable on platforms like IMDB)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be available to participate in the activities held in Hong Kong from March 15 to 18, 2027;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be able to financially cover for their travel expenses beyond the amount of $4,000 granted by Telefilm Canada and\/or its partners;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be fluent in English for effective communication and participation in the programme;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have at least one feature-length film project in development suitable for international co-production that could be co-produced with Asia, with financial and creative control along with all copyrights and options necessary for its development and promotion held by the producer, would be an asset;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have previous experience as lead producer on an official completed international co-production is an asset.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button btn--primary\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/telefilmbpm.appiancloud.com\/suite\/sites\/client\/page\/calls\/record\/aIUVzaWnudf00FsQO1Q8fTSVAEOuyJaay2VHDJIA0dHBhUTybXKg0X6Hs4hznz5GStIB5U-ROG2Xec3syVLUEWqQuGc64qpYrn_sSjpLTgE45YlQvjN8D9-SqQ5CoLHj5HrazwnJA\/view\/summary\">SUBMIT HERE<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>ABOUT<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jointly organised by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB), Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), Hong Kong Film Development Council (HKFDC), and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Producers Connect achieved remarkable success in 2026. In partnership with 10 international film institutions, the programme brought together more than 100 producers from Hong Kong and around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a flagship programme of FILMART, which welcomed over 790 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions and 8,000 industry professionals from 53 countries and regions in 2026, Producers Connect offers a unique platform for business matching, conferences and seminars, networking activities, and location scouting opportunities.
