Over three days, the programme brings together leading creatives, top-tier producers, studios, buyers, financiers, and other key animation-industry professionals to drive business and creative development. It offers a prime opportunity to forge new partnerships, explore emerging production tools, and engage in high-level collaboration and networking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event within the EFM includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Curated project showcases to discover hand-picked Works-in-Progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pitch sessions connecting creatives &amp; producers with potential buyers, financiers and co-producers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Talks &amp; case studies with leading industry voices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workshops and expert-led sessions on animation and cross-IP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tailored networking and consultation sessions to build professional connections,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Spotlight On: Canadian Animation<\/strong> is a curated project showcase of up to <strong>5 Canadian projects<\/strong> in early stage of development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants selected for this initiative will receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 free European Film Market (EFM) Badge valid for the duration of the Market PER TEAM\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Additional Market badges will be available for purchase at a discount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel grant of 2\u202f000$ per team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>ELIGIBITY CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS AND PROJECTS<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible, an applicant must meet all the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a Canadian controlled corporation, as determined under sections 26 to 28 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/I-21.8\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Investment Canada Act<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be represented during the initiative by a producer that is a Canadian citizen within the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/c-29\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Citizenship Act<\/span><\/strong><\/a> or a permanent resident within the definition of the<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/laws.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/i-2.5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have its head office in Canada and carry out its activities in Canada<s>.<\/s><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>operate as an audiovisual production company<s>.<\/s> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have one animation feature-length film project in early stage of development suitable for international co-production<s>.<\/s><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be available to travel to Berlin, Germany to attend the EFM \u2013 Animation Days, from February 10-12, 2027 and pitch their project at the Spotlight On: Canadian Animation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be able to financially cover for their travel expenses beyond the amount of 2 000 $ granted by Telefilm Canada and purchase additional EFM badge for additional team members (if needed).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-left is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fc4fd283 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button btn--primary\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/telefilmbpm.appiancloud.com\/suite\/sites\/client\/page\/calls\/record\/aIUVzaWnudf00FsQO1Q8fTSVAEOuyJaay2VHDJIA0dHBhUTybXKg0X6Hs4hznz5GStIB5U-ROG2Xec3syVLUEWqQuGc64qpYrn_sSjpLTgG45a-3fnvY3docruvzGx0QcTWevX6vg\/view\/summary\"><strong>SUBMIT HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This Call for Entries will be submitted through <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/log-in\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dialogue Events<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please consult the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/User-Guide_Dialogue-Events-1.pdf\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">User Guide<\/span><\/a><\/strong> to submit your application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telefilm Canada will select <strong>up to 5 projects<\/strong> to participate in this initiative.
