{"id":2202,"date":"2021-12-16T13:28:35","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T13:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/appel-inscription\/75th-festival-de-cannes-short-films"},"modified":"2022-08-03T02:06:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T02:06:53","slug":"75th-festival-de-cannes-short-films","status":"publish","type":"appel-inscription","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/appel-inscription\/75th-festival-de-cannes-short-films","title":{"rendered":"75th\u00a0FESTIVAL DE CANNES\u00a0| Short Films\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\"><h4 id=\"call-for-entries\">Call for entries<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Short films)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cannescourtmetrage.com\/fr\/\">Festival de Cannes<\/a>\u00a0is currently accepting submissions for short films.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.quinzaine-realisateurs.com\/en\/\">Directors&#8217; Fortnight<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.semainedelacritique.com\/EN\/index.php\">Critics&#8217; Week<\/a>, which are independent of the Festival de Cannes, are also accepting entries for short and medium-length films.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival\u00a0via their respective submission platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Registration fees: <\/strong>yes (varies according to the section)<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have been completed within the 12 months prior to the date of the Festival<\/li>\n<li>Must not have participated in any festival outside its country of origin (whether in competition or out of competition).*The Festival de Cannes does not accept shorts that already screened in an international festival in its country of origin.<\/li>\n<li>Must not have been shown on the Internet or broadcast on TV, or commercially released outside its country of origin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Cannes Film Festival (Competition<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong>\u00a0selects 10 short films (15 minutes or under) to compete for the prestigious Palme d\u2019or. For more information, please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannescourtmetrage.com\/en\/participer\/detail-du-reglement\/shorts-in-competition\">regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Directors\u2019 Fortnight<\/strong>\u00a0is organized by the Film Directors\u2019 Guild. This non-competitive section programs approximately 15 international <u>short films (under 60 minutes).
