{"id":2394,"date":"2021-04-13T14:26:22","date_gmt":"2021-04-13T14:26:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/appel-inscription\/78th-venice-international-film-festival-mostra"},"modified":"2022-08-03T02:13:56","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T02:13:56","slug":"78th-venice-international-film-festival-mostra","status":"publish","type":"appel-inscription","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/appel-inscription\/78th-venice-international-film-festival-mostra","title":{"rendered":"78th Venice International Film Festival &#8211; Mostra"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\"><h4><strong>Call for entries<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>(Feature, short films and VR Works, narrative and documentaries)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/cinema\/2021\">Venice International Film Festival &#8211; Mostra<\/a> is currently accepting applications for its 2021 edition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Please note that films must be submitted <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web9.labiennale.org\/sel\/1e.aspx\"><strong>directly to the festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive: Yes<\/li>\n<li>Entry fees: Yes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> \u00a0<em>*<a href=\"https:\/\/participation.telefilm.ca\/sites\/telefilm\/en\/venice-sansebastian-busan2021\">Telefilm Canada accepts films on behalf of the Venice Critics\u2019 Week and Venice Days.<\/a> Please refer to the call for entries should you wish to submit your film for these specific sections.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Eligibility\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Only films presented as world premieres that meet the following criteria<\/p>\n<p>are eligible for selection:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Films that were completed after 12 September 2020;<\/li>\n<li>Films that have not had any form of commercial distribution or exhibition on the Internet;<\/li>\n<li>Films that have not been previously presented at any other International film festival or cinematographic events, including those in the country of origin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>As a consequence of the particular situation caused by the Covid-19 emergency, the Direction of the Festival reserves the right of considering also films completed before 12 September 2020, as long as they have been produced after 7 September 2019, and provided that they have not had any form of commercial distribution or exhibition on the Internet and that they have not been already submitted with negative result to the selection of the 2020 edition of the Festival. Each work invited to the official sections of the Festival will receive a certificate of participation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h5><strong>About<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h6><strong>78th Venezia<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The 78th Venice International Film Festival is organized by La Biennale di Venezia. The international competition comprises a maximum of 21 feature-length films, presented as world premieres.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Out of Competition<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Some of the most important works of the year will be presented in the non-competing section, and they may include the works of established authors who have participated in Competition in previous editions of the Venice Film Festival.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Orizzonti<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>An international competitive section with 19 feature films that represent the latest aesthetic and expressive trends in international cinema, with special attention to debut films, young talents who are not yet firmly established, indie features, as well as works that address specific genres and current production, with the aim of innovating and demonstrating creative originality.<\/p>\n<p>The Orizzonti section programs competing short films of all genres with a maximum length 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a film in the Venezia Competition, Venezia Out of Competition, Venezia Orizzonti, Giornate degli Autori and Critics\u2019 Weeks sections for applications to its <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/financing\/international-marketing-festival-participation\">International Festival participation Program.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>International Promotion<\/strong><br \/>\nTelefilm Canada, Montreal<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:festivals@telefilm.ca\">festivals@telefilm.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"template":"","categorie_appel_inscription":[11],"class_list":["post-2394","appel-inscription","type-appel-inscription","status-publish","hentry","categorie_appel_inscription-festival"],"acf":{"date_debut":"20210901","date_fin":"20210911","ville":"Venice","pays":"Italy","edition":"","deadlines":[{"description":"Deadline for VR works","date":"20210531"},{"description":"Deadline for feature films and short films","date":"20210611"}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>78th Venice International Film Festival &#8211;
