TIFF offers awards accompanied by cash prizes, as well as a FIPRESCI Award (The International Federation of Film Critics) and the Mermaid Award, bestowed to the best LGBTQI+-themed movie of TIFF\u2019s official program.<\/p>\n<p>TIFF has several international sections: the International Competition, \u201cFilm Forward\u201d, a newly established competition section which brings forth the work of young and daring directors, as well as the VR Competition section. Moreover, there are non-competitive sections: Out of Competition and \u2019Round Midnight (for genre films).
