A total of 282 applications were considered by the Advisory Committees representing approximately $260 million in funding requests. Of the 282 applications, 117 were national feature film projects (including the <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/news-releases\/telefilm-canada-to-fund-the-production-of-12-french-language-feature-films\"><strong>12 French-language national decisions<\/strong><\/a> announced earlier) and 165 were English- and French-language lower budget feature film projects (including the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/news-releases\/telefilm-canada-to-fund-the-production-of-29-english-and-french-language-feature-films-across-canada\">29 lower budget decisions<\/a><\/strong> announced last week). Feature film projects selected in the Indigenous Stream will be announced in the coming week and is not included in this total application amount.<\/p>\n<p>Coproduction projects of all budget levels are accepted until September 30, 2021, at 11pm EST, subject to availability of funds.<\/p>\n<p>Advisory Committees comprised of external and internal representatives evaluated the projects and made recommendations to Telefilm. The decision-making process also took into account Telefilm\u2019s goal of fostering a diversity of voices in the industry.
