{"id":3348,"date":"2021-03-01T15:46:45","date_gmt":"2021-03-01T15:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/telefilm-announces-details-on-the-short-term-compensation-fund"},"modified":"2026-06-15T15:01:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:01:31","slug":"telefilm-announces-details-on-the-short-term-compensation-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/telefilm-announces-details-on-the-short-term-compensation-fund","title":{"rendered":"Telefilm announces details on the Short-Term Compensation Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/industry-advisories\/official-statement-from-christa-dickenson-executive-director-on-the-extension-of-the-short-term-compensation-fund-for-canadian-audiovisual-productions-stcf\">announced on February 10, 2021<\/a>, the Short-Term Compensation Fund (STCF) for Canadian Audiovisual Productions has been <strong>extended from March 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Producers who have already applied to the STCF for a project that begins shooting before March 31, 2021 and extends beyond that date must reapply for the portion that takes place after March 31, 2021. This measure has been put in place to allow all eligible producers to apply on the new opening date (as stated below). Applications under the STCF will be processed on a first come, first served basis, incumbent on earliest date of start of principal photography.<\/p>\n<p>The updated STCF Guidelines and the Pre-Eligibility Attestation Form are<a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/financing\/short-term-compensation-fund-for-canadian-audiovisual-productions\"> available on our website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The opening date for all applications is March 4, 2021 (11:00am EST)<\/strong> for coverage starting on or after April 1<sup>st,<\/sup> 2021.
