{"id":3378,"date":"2020-12-18T10:30:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-18T10:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/telefilm-announces-details-on-the-participation-in-international-festivals-and-events-support-program"},"modified":"2026-06-15T15:01:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:01:09","slug":"telefilm-announces-details-on-the-participation-in-international-festivals-and-events-support-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/telefilm-announces-details-on-the-participation-in-international-festivals-and-events-support-program","title":{"rendered":"Telefilm announces details on the Participation in International Festivals and Events Support Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telefilm Canada would like to inform its clients of the opening date of the Participation in International Festivals and Events Support Program, as well as the changes made to it during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opening date: January 12, 2021<\/li>\n<li>Closing date: March 12, 2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In keeping with the <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.gc.ca\/travelling\/advisories\"><strong>Government of Canada&#8217;s Travel Advice and Advisories<\/strong><\/a>, urging all Canadians to avoid non-essential travel, Telefilm has amended the Program&#8217;s guidelines to exclude travel expenses from eligible costs.<\/p>\n<p>Telefilm unequivocally recommends to applicants that any travel outside of Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic period must comply with any advice or directive issued by the Government of Canada, including the advice as of today\u2019s date to avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines, eligibility and assessment criteria, as well as other important information, are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/financing\/international-marketing-festival-participation\"><strong>Program<\/strong><\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e15852;\"><strong>Important: Please note that Telefilm&#8217;s offices are closed for the holidays from December 23 to January 1 inclusively.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Telefilm Canada would like to inform its clients of the opening date of the Participation in International Festivals and Events Support Program, as well as the changes made to it during the COVID-19 pandemic.
