{"id":3432,"date":"2020-07-29T09:07:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-29T09:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/phase-2-of-the-emergency-relief-fund-details-and-criteria-now-online-for-training-and-development-partners-and-movie-theatres"},"modified":"2026-06-15T15:00:25","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:00:25","slug":"phase-2-of-the-emergency-relief-fund-details-and-criteria-now-online-for-training-and-development-partners-and-movie-theatres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/en\/phase-2-of-the-emergency-relief-fund-details-and-criteria-now-online-for-training-and-development-partners-and-movie-theatres","title":{"rendered":"Phase 2 of the Emergency Relief Fund: Details and criteria now online for training and development partners, and movie theatres"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editor-content\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Government of Canada recently unveiled the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/canadian-heritage\/news\/2020\/07\/final-components-of-phase-2-of-the-covid-19-emergency-support-fund-for-cultural-heritage-and-sport-organizations-announced.html\">final components of the second and final phase of the Emergency Relief Fund<\/a><\/strong>, which included an investment of $1,755,000 and $1,000,000 to be distributed by Telefilm respectively to <strong>movie theatres<\/strong> that show Canadian films,\u00a0 and to audiovisual <strong>training and development partners<\/strong> that have not already received financial support under the Emergency Relief Fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/financing\/covid-19-emergency-relief-fund-telefilm-allocation\">Details<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/telefilm.ca\/financing\/covid-19-emergency-relief-fund-telefilm-allocation\"> and application process criteria<\/a> are now online. <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Telefilm will begin accepting applications starting on<span style=\"color: #444444;\"> August 17, 2020. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The emergency funding announced by the federal government is part of a multifaceted funding ecosystem and will be allocated in a way which complements\u2014not duplicates\u2014other measures for which screen industry workers and companies are eligible. These new funds will help companies in Canada\u2019s film and television sectors ensure continuity of operations and safeguard jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Any questions can be sent to <strong><a
