ABOUT

The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival is one of the most important short film festivals in the world. Taking place in parallel to the Festival is the Short Film Market (Feb 2-5, 2026), a meeting and a marketplace dedicated to short films. The International Short Film Market aims to facilitate economic activity and encourage professional interaction in the short film sector.  It is a unique venue for meetings, promotion and networking. All films submitted to the International Competition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, whether or not selected, will be referenced in the digital catalogue of the International Short Film Market.

In 2025, MERCENAIRE (Pier-Philippe Chevigny), and WHO LOVES THE SUN (Shakiba Arshia) were selected at the festival.

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a short film in this festival for application to its International Promotion Program
