The BFI London Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2019 edition.

Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival.

 

  • Submission format: DVD or online screener
  • Competitive: Yes
  • Entry Fees: Yes

 

Eligibility
  • Open to feature-length films and short subjects (all genres under 40 minutes);
  • Films must have been produced within 12 months prior to the festival start;
  • For feature films in competitive sections, preference will be given to World, International and European premieres;
  • Prior public or advertised UK screenings, theatrical screenings, film festivals, television screenings, internet transmission or DVD releases of feature length films disqualify them from entry;
  • Films and videos at the festival will screen in English or in their original versions with English subtitles;
  • Films that have been submitted for consideration in previous years are not eligible.

 

Every year the BFI London Film Festival presents a selection of the best in world cinema, presenting audiences in London, and across the UK, with a wide array of films, representing a thrilling variety of languages, genres and filmmaking styles.

The festival is a champion of British talent alongside international work, and the programme spans features, shorts, fiction, documentary, artists moving image, restorations, animation, and films for families, alongside titles destined for awards-season glory.
