Raindance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in the UK.  

Since 1992, Raindance has supported a new generation of creative and innovative filmmakers.  

The festival welcomes over 16,000 visitors annually, including buyers, distributors, festival programmers, financiers, and press. For the competition sections, the festival prioritizes first- and second-time filmmakers. 

Winners of Best Animation Short/Best Documentary Short/Short of the Festival) categories will qualify for Oscar®. 

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the Festival for applications to its International Promotion Program.
