Telefilm Canada is currently accepting Canadian feature-length film entries on behalf of the Tribeca Film Festival. The Festival waives its entry fees for feature-length film submitted via Telefilm Canada.
Eligibility
The Tribeca Film Festival is a competitive festival that was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff. Since, the Festival has screened over 1400 films from over 80 countries and it has attracted an international audience of more than 4 million attendees.
In 2016, the Festival screens 102 features and 74 shorts from around the world. The Competition is open to feature-length (narrative/documentary) and short films (narrative/documentary/student films). The festival has several other sections including Galas, Spotlight and Midnight screening for genre films. The cash awards total 240,000$ US.
Since 2013, Tribeca also programs transmedia story-driven and interactive projects in the Storyscapes section.
