ABOUT
IndieLisboa aims to contribute to the discovery in Portugal of new directors. It screens independent features and shorts in competition that are not defined as mainstream productions.
The festival showcases several non-competitive sections suchas Silvestre and Mouth of Madness (for unconventional topics, visual approaches or storytelling). Numerous awards are attributed including the Feature Film Grand Prize (15 000€); the Short Film Grand Prize (4 000€), the Amnesty International Award (1 500€), and the Audience Awards (feature and short).
The festival hosts activities that go beyond regular screenings – workshops, master classes, debates, screenings of works in progress for industry guests, networking events, etc.
In 2024, one feature film and four Canadian shorts were selected: The Beast (B. Bonello), Death to the Bikini! (Justine Gauthier), Summer 2000 (Virginie Nolin, Laurence Olivier), The Girl with the Red Beret (Janet Perlman) and Two and Two (Shira Avni).
Telefilm Canada recognizes a feature film selection in this festival and may provide assistance through the International Promotion Program.
