ABOUT

Founded in 1994, Sheffield Doc/Fest is a world leading and the UK’s premier documentary festival, celebrating the art and business of documentary and all non-fiction storytelling. Each year the festival exhibits over 140 films and welcomes over 40,000 Festival goers including over 2,000 industry delegates from over 70 countries.  

The Industry Programme encompasses a range of opportunities for documentary makers to connect with industry partners, to find collaborators and discuss new projects. The MeetMarket (for features and series), Alternate Realities Talent Market (for new media creatives) and Amplify: Production Talent Market (to connect with UK production companies) require applications in advance.

Alternate Realities is the programme exhibiting and showcasing innovative non-fiction and immersive documentary in all forms. Platforms considered for exhibition include virtual (VR), augmented (AR) and mixed reality (MR), 360 video, sound art, web interactives, artificial intelligence, games and performance.

Telefilm Canada recognizes a feature or a short film selection in this festival and may provide assistance through the International Promotion Program.
