Founded in 1990, the Stockholm International Film Festival continues to explore and promote the great directors of tomorrow and is established as one of the leading film festivals in Europe. With a passion for visionary filmmaking, the festival keeps on pushing forward the boundaries of cinema.  

The main sections are: 

The Competition open to directors making their first, second or third dramatic feature, the Documentary Competition, Impact for films on pressing contemporary issues, Open Zone dedicated to the influential directors in world cinema, Icons, highlighting major performances by the leading actors and actresses in current cinema, Discovery, reserved to debut directors and Twilight Zone, a mind-bending genre films. 

Telefilm Canada recognizes a FEATURE FILM selection in this festival and may provide assistance through the International Promotion Program.
