The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is currently accepting applications for its next edition. 

Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival.

ABOUT 

The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen has become one of the world’s most respected short film events. The Film Festival Oberhausen is an independent festival accredited by FIAPF, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, and organized according to FIAPF regulations and the regulations of the Festival. The Festival presents: Competitions (International, German, International Children’s and Youth Film, NRW), German MuVi Award (with separate regulations), as well as curated programmes. 

It awards nearly 40,000 euros in prizes across competitions.  

In 2024, Abaznoda and Boat People were part of the selection.
