The AFI International Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its upcoming edition.
Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

Eligibility
- Narrative and documentary features and shorts (under 40 minutes);
- All feature length films must be Los Angeles premieres;
- For short films, there is no premiere requirement (films can have already played in the Los Angeles area and can appear online before the festival and are still eligible for consideration).

AFI International Film Festival presents a survey of the year’s most significant films each fall. The festival includes several categories for international features: Galas, New Auteurs, World Cinema, and Midnight.
New Auteurs, AFI FEST’s juried competitive section, is designed exclusively to raise the profiles of first or second-time feature filmmakers.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recognizes AFI International Film Festival as a qualifying festival for Short Films categories of the annual Academy Awards®.
Telefilm Canada recognizes selection to this festival for application to its Participation to international festivals and events support program.
