Canada Pavilion at the 2019 International Animation Film Market (MIFA)

MIFA is the animation industry’s foremost showcase in terms of co-producing, purchasing, selling, financing and distributing animation content for all broadcasting platforms.
MIFA key figures:
3,800 accredited professionals from 75 countries;
490 buyers and distributors;
830 exhibitors.
Located at the heart of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the Canada Pavilion at the MIFA will provide an array of services, discounted accreditation rates and a program of events designed to promote the Canadian industry and talent. The goal of this initiative is to provide increased visibility for our entrepreneurs and to emphasize the importance of the animation industry for Canada.

Canadians registering for the Canada Pavilion will have the opportunity to obtain 1 free accreditation for MIFA. A total of 12 accreditations will be distributed or 3 per region. Limit of one free accreditation per company.
Accreditation will be offered on a regional 1st come/1st served basis. The regions are defined as follows:
- Alberta/ British Columbia / Manitoba / Northwest Territories / Saskatchewan / Yukon
- New Brunswick / Newfoundland & Labrador / Nova Scotia / Prince Edward Island
- Nunavut / Ontario
- Québec
To be eligible, you must complete the Canada Pavilion registration form. Once you have submitted your form we will advise you if you are eligible for one of the free accreditations.
Please note that this is a new opportunity is specific to this year and we unfortunately cannot credit the accreditations already paid for.

Got an animation in Virtuel reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and/or video-game project that you’d like to promote at MIFA? We’re offering free use of the Canada stand in the multimedia section of the market.
Companies will have a minimum of half a day to present their demo. The companies selected will be responsible for bringing their materials and for being there on site in the VR Area to oversee their project.
Spaces will be offered on a first come, first served basis, but promoting projects from several different provinces across Canada will be taken into consideration. Spaces are limited. If you are interested, please reply as soon as possible to Brigitte Dupré being sure to indicate the title of your project, a brief summary, the format, the name of your company and your region.
