Cannes 2020 | NOT SHORT ON TALENT
Call for entries
(Short films, all genres)
Telefilm Canada is currently accepting submissions for its 10th edition of “Canada: Not Short on Talent” at Cannes, a curated showcase presented at the Short Film Corner, a component of the Cannes Market which runs parallel to the Cannes Film Festival.
NOT SHORT ON TALENT is the name of Telefilm Canada’s initiative that promotes recent Canadian short films at different film markets. The selected films will be screening at the Short Film Corner, a professional area for meetings, industry events and with private viewing facilities reserved to attending professionals registered at the Cannes Market.
The Short Film Corner runs from May 18 to May 22, 2020.
Our showcase is designed to increase the international promotion of new short films and to promote Canadian talents to festival programmers and buyers.
Selected films will benefit from a promotional campaign developed by Telefilm Canada to ensure exposure of the films. Under the “Canada: Not Short on Talent” label, your film will be highlighted by a prime position in the Short Film Corner printed catalogue, as well as on the Home page of the 60 private viewing screens available on site.
In addition, if your film is selected and you are interested in attending the festival, the Short Film Corner offers 2 festival accreditations per film that provide access to the festival screenings and the Short Film Corner. While Telefilm Canada encourages you to experience the festival and its market events, it is not a prerequisite, and we are not offering travel grant for this initiative.
