Telefilm Canada is currently accepting submissions for its 13th edition of CANADA: NOT SHORT ON TALENT program at Cannes, a curated market showcase presented at the Short Film Corner onsite 2023. 

Not Short on Talent is a Telefilm Canada initiative that presents a selection of new Canadian short films at international markets. The selected films will be screening at the Short Film Corner, a component of the Marché du film de Cannes which runs parallel to the Cannes Film Festival. 

Our showcase aims to increase the visibility of new Canadian short films and to promote talent to delegates from industry registered in international markets, including buyers and curators of festivals.

Selected films will benefit from a promotional campaign developed by Telefilm Canada to ensure exposure of the films. Under the “Canada: Not Short on Talent” label, your film will be highlighted by a prime position in the Short Film Corner catalogue, as well as on the online platform. 

For a second year, if your film is selected, you will have access to trainings developed by the Short Film Corner and specifically dedicated to our cohort. Thanks to the 2 accreditations offered to your team, you will also have access to the market’s programming: screenings, workshops, keynotes and more (onsite).
