About
The 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) will mark the 38th edition of CineMart, its international co-production market.
CineMart was the very first co-production platform of its kind. Each year, CineMart selects around 20 projects. Directors and producers of the selected projects have the opportunity to present their film to potential co-producers, funds, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters and other potential financiers.
An online catalogue with the information on the selected projects is shared prior to the event with professionals who then inform the CineMart of their interest. CineMart sets up one-on-one meetings between the project representatives and potential investors. Upon arrival in Rotterdam, all guests receive their personal meeting schedule.
The Festival and CineMart attract 3,000 professionals, including 350 distributors, sales agents, bankers, funding bodies, and TV buyers from all over the world.
Four awards are handed out at CineMart to projects that are selected at the market: the Eurimages Coproduction Award, the ARTE International Prize, the Filmmore Post-Production Award and the Wouter Barendrecht Award.
