ABOUT
The next edition of CineMart will take place at the 53rd International Film Festival Rotterdam.
CineMart selects around 20 projects. Directors and producers of the selected projects can present their film to potential co-producers, funds, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters, and other potential financiers. CineMart is known for its highly curated editorial line of distinct projects in story and form. It presents projects by independent directors and producers and mostly arthouse work, ensuring there is a wide variety by presenting smaller work alongside films by established teams with higher budgets.
An online catalogue with the information on the selected projects is shared prior to the event with professionals who then inform the CineMart of their interest. CineMart sets up one-on-one meetings between the project representatives and potential investors.
The Festival and CineMart attract 3,000 professionals, including 350 distributors, sales agents, bankers, funding bodies, and TV buyers from all over the world.
Four awards are handed out at CineMart to projects that are selected at the market: the Eurimages Coproduction Award, the ARTE International Prize, the Filmmore Post-Production Award and the Wouter Barendrecht Award.
