Canadian Preselection Screenings

Telefilm Canada is currently accepting entries for Canadian feature films forthe Cannes Film Festival, “L’Officiel”, as well as the two parallel sections, the Critics’ Week, and the Directors’ Fortnight.

Every year, Telefilm Canada invites members of the selection committees from Cannes to screen the Canadian features submitted in a private theater in Montreal between February 27 to March 16, 2023. Each member of the selection committees will evaluate the entries for the section he/she represents, either the Festival de Cannes “L’Officiel” – which comprises the Competition, Out-of-Competition and Un Certain Regard-, the Directors’ Fortnight or The Critics’ Week.

Submission fees: Films submitted via Telefilm Canada to the selection screenings will be exempt from the festival submission fees.
