The Giffoni Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2023 edition.

ABOUT 

The Giffoni Film Festival is organized by the Independent Association: “Ente Autonomo Giffoni Experience”, a non-profit Association that was constituted in 1973. It is co-financed by the Campania Regional Government and the Italian Ministry for Arts and Culture, supported by the Municipality of Giffoni Valle Piana.  

For over 50 years, the Festival has acted as a sounding board for cinema production destined for children and young people.  

Official Sections 

  • Elements +6 – competitive section for feature length films and short films (fiction and animation). 
  • Elements +10 – competitive section for feature length films and short films (fiction and animation). 
  • Generator +13 – competitive section for feature length films (fiction and animation). 
  • Generator +16 – competitive section for feature length films (fiction and animation). 
  • Generator +18 – competitive section for feature films revolving around childhood but targeting older audience. 
  • GEX Doc – competitive section for documentaries (only feature length films) about childhood and adolescence but targeting older audience. 
  • Parental Experience – an international contest for short films revolving around childhood but targeting older audience. 

Telefilm Canada recognizes a feature film selection in this festival and may provide assistance through the International Promotion Program.
